Sydney Kaczorowski - Voice and Keyboards

Sydney has dabbled in many art forms, starting with ballet at age 3, alto saxophone at 9, choir at 10, and piano at 15. Despite having interests in many different things, Sydney has always known she loved the limelight of the stage and the comradery of working with others.

Originally from South Jersey, Sydney received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the Mary Pappert School of music at Duquesne University in May 2018. She was a student of David Alan Wehr, with whom she studied classical piano, her field of concentration, but Sydney was heavily involved in vocal studies. She was in the Voices of Spirit, the chamber choir of Duquesne, with whom she had the opportunity to sing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as a soloist in Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Inspired by her experience, she began studying voice with Xiu-ru Liu and Guenko Guechev at Duquesne. She joined the Opera Workshop performing arias and ensemble work and was last seen as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Alexander’s Feast. Sydney most recently joined the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh where she sings as a soprano.

During her time at Duquesne, Sydney was a member of the Tamburitzans, an Eastern European folk arts ensemble. She learned from world-renowned choreographers and arrangers and also had the opportunity to tour around the entire country. Her time with the group led her to become specialized in Chopin’s mazurkas and other folk-inspired music because of their direct correlation. Sydney enjoys teaching students of all levels and ages, as she loves to help people find their creative voice.

With her diverse background, she is confident that she can guide her students to fulfillment in music.
