My passion for music began at a young age with my parents introducing me to the music of Motown and the rock, pop and soul music that they grew up on. I began studying piano at age 6 and dabbled in the pursuit of several other instruments before truly finding my place with guitar and choral music in middle school.
I have been lucky to have studied under some incredible teachers throughout my time in high school, at The University of Pittsburgh and New York University. The personal connection that is created through learning, playing, performing, and writing with others is the aspect of music I love the most, and I am excited to share this with my students by helping them learn about the music that speaks to them! I currently play in two groups in Pittsburgh, a folk band Buffalo Rose and a psychedelic rock trio MANIC SOUL. I also host a jam session every Sunday in Squirrel Hill and am involved with the local art and music collective Redfishbowl.
