Music Together

Discover the Joy of Music Together ®

Children of all ages are naturally intrigued by music, filled with curiosity and boundless energy. Our Music Together class provides an environment where they can delve into the world of music, connect with their peers, and begin to discover what it is about music that resonates the most with them.

Music Together is a 45-minute caregiver/child music class for kids ages 0–5. Expect to sing, dance, clap, and bounce with your child while learning fun songs to sing together, and nurturing their early music skills. Early interactions with music foster robust rhythm skills, ear recognition, and an intuitive understanding of music. It's also an incredible opportunity to bond with your little one! All classes are attended by both the child and caregiver, guiding them as they embark on their musical journey.

We Teach the Way Children Learn

At Music Together, we know that children learn differently than adults. They learn instinctively and constantly, and teach themselves through imitation and play, being immersed in their environment, and interaction with adults and older children. The family-like setting of Music Together classes creates an ideal learning environment. And it’s all based on robust research in early childhood and music development. You can learn more about the research behind Music Together at the Music Together Worldwide website.

Your Role Is Essential

You are your child’s most important music teacher right now! Young children learn through play and experimentation and by watching and listening to the grownups they love. Setting an example as an enthusiastic participant in music activities is the best thing any parent or caregiver can do to foster a child’s lifelong love of music. Parents don't need to have any musical training— just a desire to play and have fun with their children.

Music Together®  FAQ

  • How do the terms work? Do I need to commit to the whole term?

Participation in our Music Together classes requires commitment through the end of the term. After the term, students are assumed to be re-enrolling unless they withdraw by the 10th of the last month of the term. You can view our full policies here.

  • Can I try out a Music Together class before committing to the full term?

Absolutely! We offer a one-time trial class for $25 per family, providing an opportunity for you and your child to experience the magic of Music Together. It's a great way to see if our program is the right fit for you.

  • Can I join the term if it has already started?

Yes! If there are available spots within the first half of the term, students can join and pay a prorated tuition for the remaining weeks. We want to ensure everyone has a chance to join the musical journey, even if the term has already begun.

  • Are parents required to participate in the class?

In Music Together, parents or caregivers are required to stay in the classroom and participate alongside their child, creating a shared experience. Students without a caregiver or parent present will be unable to participate in the class.

  • What should I bring to my session?

We provide all of the materials you might need for your class, so you don’t need to bring anything. You’re welcome to ask your instructor if you could bring an instrument from home to show the class.

  • What happens if I need to miss a session?

We have an extremely flexible cancellation policy! As long as you provide 24-hour notice, we will cancel your attendance for your upcoming class and you can schedule a time to drop-in to any other Music Together class with an open slot. Read our full terms and conditions here.

  • What is the term commitment?

You must renew your commitment each term to continue—fall, winter, spring (12 weeks each), and summer (8 weeks). Students are encouraged to extend their enrollment across multiple terms, and are given the flexibility to switch sessions in the middle of a term. If you need to switch classes at any point, contact programs@sunburstmusic.com for assistance.

  • What happens at the end of the term?

Active Music Together students will be afforded a two-week window for special enrollment, ensuring their seamless reservation for the upcoming term without any disruptions. Failure to re-enroll within this designated period will result in the release of their spots, making them available for other students to book.

  • What is the policy for siblings attending Music Together classes?

All siblings are welcome to attend our Music Together classes. Registration is required. Infants under one year of age may attend for free when accompanied by a registered older sibling.  We offer a discounted rate for all registered siblings.
